FOR ITEMS OUT OF WARRANTY
For all out of warranty repairs when you bring your item in for repair we charge the assessment fee which is payable at the time of booking in, this allows us to spend the time diagnosing the fault with your item & working out the costs to repair it, this also includes the time taken to look up service manuals & inquire about parts costs.
We will then contact you usually within three to five days depending on workload with the estimated cost to complete the repair & you can decide if you would like to accept the estimate or decline the estimate, the assessment fee will become part of the repair cost, (like a deposit)
When your item is delivered you would pay any balance owing above your assessment fee at that time including any pickup/delivery fee charged, usually if we are including pickup/delivery we would require the assessment fee & half pickup paid when we pickup your item, then we would charge the remaining amount on delivery after repair.
If you do not wish to proceed or we find that the repair is uneconomical or parts are not available that are required for a successful repair, we will keep the assessment fee to cover our costs of looking at your item.
We will also require any pickup fee to be paid even if not proceeding with repair. The assessment fee & pickup/delivery are still payable by the customer unless we get written authorization from the manufacturer or the retailer should the customer like to try & claim under warranty even though the warranty has expired.
FOR ITEMS UNDER WARRANTY WITH NO FAULT FOUND
For items that are booked in under warranty, if we are unable to fault at time of service we are unable to charge the manufacturer. The assessment fee & any pickup/delivery/extra mileage needs to be paid by the customer unless we receive written authorization from the manufacturer or retailer they will be covering all charges including the original assessment fee regardless
